So, yeah, I’ve been out of the loop for a while. Things at work have been a little crazy, but the most important thing that happened in the last month was that our boy Kenny had himself a little heart surgery. Folks who’ve visited the site within the last six months or so know that my wife and I had twins a while back. This has been quite an adventure– especially since Kenny hasn’t been quite a hundred percent for most of that time. It seems the little guy had a small hole in his ticker. We took a wait and see attitude for a few months, but Kenny wasn’t quite rebounding with the kind of speed we would have liked. Finally, the decision was made to go in and sew up the hole. The operation itself was performed by a helluva surgeon named Doctor Plunkett and it went off without a hitch. Since then, Kenny’s shown remarkable improvement. In fact, he’s doing just grand and we couldn’t be happier. He’s still got some work to do to catch up with his bro, but it’s just a matter of time now.
Here’s to you, K-man!
Other than the whole Kenny adventure, I’ve just been doing the work thing, playing some games, doing a little reading, and pitching in with the kids whenever I’m around.
I’m still quite pleased with World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade. There’s enough content there to keep me busy for months and months and the art direction and world design are very well-done; so kudos to Blizzard. I also got into a beta test weekend for The Lord of the Rings Online and was very pleasantly surprised. I don’t know why my expectations were low, but I enjoyed my time with the game enough to go ahead and pre-order it. It definitely looks like it’s got some promise.
I’ve also been messing around with Animation:Master which I purchased years ago and just upgraded for a measly 100$. I’ve got to say it’s a heckuva nice little program for as cheap as it is. And for someone who enjoys animation but doesn’t have the time or the patience to wrestle with a more sophisticated package, I think it might just foot the bill.
Anyways, that’s about all I’ve got going on my end. What’re you guys up to?
